Position Overview:
Provides direct supervision and monitors work schedules and staffing for parking operations. Ensures appropriate collection and deposits of cash and maintains records for staffing. Monitors and directs parkers to parking location. Physical strength to push/ pull automobiles as required. Ability to move vehicles as required.
Supervise the performance of 450 Sutter and Mason O’Farrell garages and works closely with Regional Manager. Fundamental customer service/teamwork orientation required. A valid California Driver’s License is required. Clear, effective verbal and written communication with customers, employees, and corporate staff is a must. Strong self-motivation, time management and organizational skills; proactive, and good judgment are qualities needed. Ability and willingness to take on new duties based on changing business needs.
Key Responsibilities and Expected Results:
1) Supervise all employees by enforcing work rules and company policies.
2) Train new and existing employees so that they understand their job responsibilities.
3) Explain all operation duties such as: stacking, retrieving vehicles, careful and slow driving, cashiering, and claims procedure.
4) Clear direction on procedure to follow when utilizing “Inspect Control Tags” for damage checks.
5) Inspect Key Tags for pertinent information.
6) Manage employee schedules, time off and coverage, as well as maintaining Labor budget
7) Monitor and correct clock in / clock out errors of all subordinate staff through ADP E-time
8) Maintain location operating within budget by minimizing expenses and soliciting new business, building relationships with surrounding merchants, and exploiting new technologies.
9) Monitor business volume, neighboring facility rates, and demand while making recommendation for rate revisions, special offers, etc. to the respective Division Manager
Essential Skills and Abilities:

- Submit daily reports detailing key activities.
- Maintain the facility neat and clean at all times (garage cashier booth, driveway, etc.)
- Ensure that all Daily Revenue reports and Overnight (layover) sheets are completed accurately and legibly.
- Keep the lighting, signage and equipment operable and looking good.
- Make sure all cashiering is performed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Responsible for enforcing the guidelines set forth in the Claims Procedure memo.
- Handle all emergencies using your best judgment at the time. Advise Benny Huang afterward.

Education, Experience and Technical Knowledge:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Basic Arithmetic (required)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products Outlook, Excel, and Word (required)
- 5 years professional parking operations experience (required)
- Prior experience for managing and supervising a team of parking valet attendants (required)
- Familiarity with local community in San Francisco (preferred)
- Has thorough familiarity cash register and with cash handling practices.
- Maintains a valid California Driving License.
- Operates both automatic and manual transmission and is familiar with most gear patterns.
Quality
- Consistently provide a high service level with appropriate sensitivity to client needs
- Insures safe driving practices
- Maintains supplies
- Schedules inspection rounds for garage and lot cleanliness as necessary but no less than three times per week.
- Ensures that parking staff are appropriately groomed and attired.
